Students acquire basic skills for early demand consideration of adapting The understanding of the basic elements of heating and cooling supply, electrical energy supply, ventilation and water supply and disposal creates the basis for critical questions to their own design and planning work. Students gain a technical understanding as a basis for integrating the services of specialist engineers into the planning process.

The TG module (PO 2020) is one semester long and starts in the winter semester. The module is completed with a collective portfolio and a written exam (end of winter semester). The module is a compulsory subject in the architecture program and students in civil engineering can work on it as an elective subject. Dates / documents / assignments / information are exchanged via the moodle platform. Participation in the exam requires all successfully recognized homework and registration: NEW PO 2020 via moodle and OLD PO 2013 via StudiLöwe.

Building physics & fire protection

B.Sc. Building physics fire protection (2.2.4) PO 2011

in winter semester

Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Dual:

Starting winter semester 2017/18, the former module "Building Physics / Fire Protection" in Civil Engineering will be offered by our chair. This results in the following changes in the course of studies:

The complete module "Bauklimatik und Bauphysik" from the architecture course is taken in two semesters in the 1st and 2nd semester with 4 credits each (total 8) and concluded with a written exam. The module "Building Physics / Fire Protection" previously comprised only 4 credits. The over earned credits will be credited as one elective subject.

Students of the dual study program who have already reached or completed the 2nd semester, but have not yet taken the module "Building Physics / Fire Protection", hear the module "Building Climatics and Building Physics" one semester in the 5th semester, concluded with a written exam (4 LP). On a voluntary basis, the second part can also be taken in the 6th semester. The further procedure is then analogous to the civil engineering course.
